We all know that creativity is doing something unusual, something which we call as ‘out of the box thinking’. Human beings are born creative and then taught to be uncreative as they grow older.
Why is Creativity important?
We all have some amount of creativity within us and we also use it for our everyday activities. Some of us do it more consciously than others. Some of us have a creative spark that can be converted into a flame with the help of creative education. Teaching creativity and creative problem solving isn’t like teaching math where one plus one will always be equal to two. Creative education is learning all the beats on Tablas, while creativity is arranging those in a new way to create new rhythm. An important aspect of creative education is – ‘observing ’. Seeing and observing are two different things. Each one of us has a unique way to look at things around us and each one of us observes specific details depending upon what excites us. Creative education teaches different ways of observing, and it’s when your way of observation is different from the others that something creative is born. The latest news in science suggests that creativity comes from our own unique individuality; encounters, and foresight, creative education can help turn all that into a finished design. During one of the TED talk, Sir Ken Robinson raised the utmost significance of creativity in today’s education when he told “Creativity now is as important in education as literacy, and we should treat it with the same status.” Every child has some inbuilt creativity in them and proper guidance from the mentor coaxes and cultivates it to help them grow up as creative individuals. At Acube Studio, we invite parents and students to a seminar to know more about Creative learning and how it helps various aspects of life as well as overall growth of the child.
